On 26 May 2021, PVC Forum Italia and PVC4Pipes hosted a digital workshop for Italian water utilities: “Piping systems for utilities: resilient, efficient and sustainable - The choice of quality and recyclable materials for pipes.”
The workshop offered technical and economic information on relevant tools and assessments, such as TCO and Cost Benefit Analysis, LCAs, and circular economy.
- Alessandro Marangoni from Althesys Strategic Consultants, who presented the Total Cost of Ownership study which shows that significant cost savings can be achieved by choosing PVC-U pipes.
- Utilitalia, the Italian Federation that brings together the companies operating in the public services of Water, Environment, Electricity and Gas
- Veritas, the main public multi-utility in Veneto
- Gruppo CAP, the main water service management company in the territory of the Metropolitan City of Milan.
