PVC Recycling Technologies - VinylPlus Brochure

This new VinylPlus brochure outlines the context and opportunities for recycling in Europe, as well as some of the challenges and solutions for extending the recycling of waste PVC.  The emphasis is on the emerging PVC recycling technologies that can access the 'more difficult to recycle' waste streams.

VinylPlus has the challenging target of recycling 800 000 tonnes of PVC annualy by 2020.  Within this target is a contribution of 100 000 tonnes from 'more difficult to recycle' PVC waste.  One or more of the technologies described in this brochure must play an essential role in achieving this ambitious target.

PVC Pipes are low on CO2 Emissions - Malaysia Conference Told

U.S. President Obama and the EU are set to forge a new deal to cut greenhouse gases at the end of March in Brussels.  Whatever the outcome, technical experts from PVC4Pipes are confident that their pipe systems will more than meet the most stringent present and future requirements in the field of CO2 emissions.  At the recent eighth World Chlor-Alkali & Vinyls Conference in Malaysia, Zoran Davidovski from PVC4Pipes informed participants that these emissions have been closely measured and assessed for all major PVC pipe applications.

The British Plastics Federation (BPF) Vinyls Group has launched a new pocket sized leaflet providing 12 good reasons why PVC is hard to beat as a resource and cost-efficient material.

Many studies have confirmed the significant benefits of PVC and these are handily summarised in this concise document.  The leaflet provides supporting data which companies can use for internal briefings and to give to their customers.

The aim of the leaflet is to encourage a large group of “PVC ambassadors” who can have ready access to the key facts about PVC in their top pockets whether it be in their professional or social lives.
